kind of mine will have x-y-z cords so it can plunge and possibly even do some 3D work. if my plans work out right ill be able to make the basic table and controls for about $100 and there are kits out there with the motors and computer interfaces for about $300-$400.
so if everything works out i will have my own CNC Machine for $400-$500 instead of $3,000 for a Micro Mill

ADD: im not going to start building it until after the new year ..... im thinking mid January.
ill check with one of the Moderators and see if i can make a thread here to keep you guys up to date.
Well hopefully the moderators will be ok with it, that sounds extremely promising. and even better, if it ends up working out, you could use the BST forum to do custom case work for people

. That would return your investment very quickly. not sure how people could submit plans though, vinyl plotters use vector stuff, but w/ 3d I have no idea... Sounds good overall, can't wait for updates =)
