Here's a puzzler-

Evox blue bios- can boot to the Slayer installer- can even FTP to the new HD (120 gig Samsung) and copy files OK. The problem is that once everything has been installed, the Xbox will not boot to the HD.

Have re-names files accordingly (evoxdash.xbe, ect.) but still won't boot!

Putting in the original HD- same symptoms, but removing the Matrix verifies the unit is not dead. Flashed the Matrix and verified twice with no change in symptoms. Help!!

I dont really know why that is, but I would try; 1) rename evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe on C: 2) Flash to 4976.02 3) snap your matrix inhalf and get an x2lite/pro smile.gif 4) check your evox.ini ? 5) try a different dashboard if worst comes to worst 6) make 100% sure the matrix is properly in place via original dashboard (looking at the bios in settings or wherever it is).

*shrug* I dont really know, just some stuff to try. Im sure someone will post an intelligent fix for your problem, but for now, at least you have some stuff to try? biggrin.gif

Thanks Charlie,

I flashed to 4976.02 and that solved it. It boots perfect now. I was this close to taking option 3 wink.gif
I probably will go to an x2pro later, I was just being lazy about soldering.

Thanks again for the tips.
