I pulled my stock W/D hard drive last night and replaced it with a 60 Gig W/D hard drive. I used Slayers 2.1 to rebuild the new drive. All is fine in Xbox land as everything works, even copied some games onto the harddrive so I could return the cd's to my buddy and I could still play them at the same time.

My question is that when I go into the System Settings area, my Xbox only reads my 60 Gig as a 48 Gig....of course this is before I copied the games over. I only had the Slayer's 2.1 installed and I doubt that took up some 12 Gigs of space.

So where did the other 12 Gigs go? uhh.gif

thats about right my 80 gig gives me like 69 gig of free space on F. but you also have 5 gigs on E. i have 2 games on e also you have to edit you ini so it will add the games from the 3 drive to your launch menu.

I'll look tonight at the size of each partition.

What I did was:

I took a new 60 gig drive, put it in, used Slayers 2.1 to format and install Evox. Before I did anything else at all, the setting told me I has a 48 gig h/d in my Xbox. It was after that when I put the games on it. With the games on I still have 42 gigs of free space but the total size still reads only 48 instead of a 60 gig drive.

I assumed it was giving me a reading of all the partitions added together.

First of all, a 60 gig hard drive is not 60 gigs to the xbox

HD gb=1,000,000,000 bytes

Computer gb=1,073,741,824

So you only get 55.8 gb

~500mb for c
~5gb for e

so your just about right

I have the same problem 60gb only gives me 5gb on E and 25gb on F,where is the rest of the 60gb.i did HDPREPARE FULL on my PC and then formated each partition 1-6.
I only get 25gb plus 5gb plus say 800mb on the other 4 partitions, thats only 33gb in total.

Help me please
