Halo 3 Beta Via Crackdown Not For Core Owners
Posted by XanTium | January 6 23:29 EST

From kotaku.com:
[QUOTE]
Those of you sporting an Xbox 360 sans hard drive are going to be, unsurprisingly, shut out of the Halo 3 beta if you purchase your copy of Crackdown hoping to secure a spot. We're basing that on the new boxart for the North American release of Crackdown, courtesy of this week's Bungie update.

no surprise there... IIRC both the hard drive and Xbox Live requirements were made clear when the open beta was first announced.

Maybe you should clarify the news title. "Halo 3 Beta Not for Users without Hard Drives".

not really sure how you'd download the beta without a hard drive anyways...

i think people were hoping there was an option in the menu for it. like how the original halo had demos for games like fuzion frenzy. im not sure, but i think thats what core people were hoping for.

So now I can choose between one of the following:

Halo 3 Beta
High Def TV & Movies
Final Fantasy XI

Yay! I love my massive 20 gig hard drive! dry.gif

That's why they make those SATA drive adapters. Or just buy another one.. though the adapter is cheaper.
