Hi all,

I've been a lurker for some time now (a couple of years ..) so thought I'd add something back into the excellent community ..

This is a tutorial for two LED's on the front of the 360 that show Ethernet activity (ie Live or System Link) and link status.

http://www.rbjtech.net/xbox/ethernet/Ethernet.htm

Cheers all,

Richard - UK.

I would like to see some high res pictures of that motherboard tho smile.gif

GSX, You got a good cam? If you would kindly take some really good pictures of where it should be, and when it's soldered.

Question,Instead of soldier to the boerd, can you just tap in to the etherenet wire itself for the activity? or is that not possible?

I don't know if it would be possible or not, but that would be such a hassle. Where would you put the lights any way? If you are already opening the 360 go ahead and solder the wires.

well thats the thing, you would not have to open the xbox 360, you could stick them in the grill? hardrive? or even a accesory like the fan stand or something like that, Just a possibility

Awesome tutorial. This is a great insight. With this, lots of other activity connectors could be made. Maybe install a temp control there, hdd led, dvd led, w.e...good job! smile.gif
