Ok I tried to flash my Hitachi dvd drive model 47D with the newest 2.3 version and now the DVD wont work and I cant not get it into mode b anymore. I did a full restore back to original before flashing with new firmware. If I press the eject button on the console it powers up but the center light flashes green all the time and the the door wont open. My computer see the drive on boot up but not in windows. Any ideal how to fix this or is my drive toast.

Thanks

if your drive wont eject and blinks constantly it is fucked plain and simple. somehow the read routines have been damaged during the restore.

only fix is to remove the rom chip and program externally.

I've moved my reply to a new post, in hope for some feedback as similar issue... but different! unsure.gif

Not necessairly. Some drives with the eject problem can still read discs, and some drives with the eject problem can't be fixed just by re-programming the chip (like mine).
