TBH I think this will be the Saturn version instead of a SONY PLAYSTATION game. The Saturn version looked better anyway and had a few extras.

Well, if the trailer is from the final version then i can asure you that this isnt the saturn version. Why i can be so certain? Well, the transparent effect from killing the big wolfs at the beginning dosent look anything like the saturn version. (This was the main problem with the saturn, the transparency effects loked better on the PS1) still i have both version (in original) and i like them both.

Not to mention the achivements, if they still are the same at release. The saturn version would have more than 200.6% if fully completed. (In this case the achivement for fully complete is 200.6%) So it looks grim dude.

But yes, the saturn version would have been more fun actually with some of the extra areas & characters. Still, better than nothing i suppose. smile.gif

The saturn version was horrible, no transperancies and slow down. Worthless new character and couple useless new areas...its a good thing it was already officially confirmed to be the PS version dry.gif

SotN is the best castlevania game IMO. Best side scroller in my book as well. I really hope they don't mess with the soundtrack at all to meet size restrictions. The music in this game is badass. Definately a must buy.

gotta agree. I have played every castlevania all the way through since SOTN, and as close as POR comes, it's JUST short of the uberness of SOTN. First off, graphically, SOTN is better, ds just doesnt have as much screen to fill, so blown up the graphics get a little messy. The gameplay, granted, is slightly improved, but with everything else, SOTN really accels.

This is one of my most favorite games of all time. I've beat it twice on my Playstation and twice on my Xbox with a Playstation emulator. I beat it normally and through the upside down castle each time and I'll do it again on my 360.

i too prefer SOTN over PoR

It doesn't matter, every anti-microsoft fanboy will now state that they like PoT better than SOTN.

I'm looking forward to playing this, i never got incredibly deep into castlevania but this one i will pick up.

Sorry for asking such a dumb question, but has there been a statement when this will be realeasd? Im a big fan of Castelevania but I have only played them on Nes and Snes. I tried SoTH on PSX ones and I was stunned how well they had transformed this alltime classic too look that nice and still keep that nice Castelevania feeling. But my PSX was all fucked up and I never got a chance to finish it. Reallt looking forward to this

Yeah, me too! I feel stupid..I've only started playing Castlevania games starting with DoS and PoR on the DS. I completely missed all through the previous games and didn't even look twice at SotN back in the playstation days. Played SotN recently on ePSXe, but I'd love to download the xblive vers. for 360.
