argh danmit.. I am (was) just about to buy the new Philips... the 37PF9731D with Ambilight Surrond and PixelPlus3D.. oh - and ofcause Full 1080p on a ClearLCD screen.

but seeing that this new model - the Philips 47PFL9732D will be out in ~5 months time... at the same retail price as the one im about to get.. i guess i should sit down and wait... sad.gif

hmm.. I guess I can wait.. for full ambilight surround and an extra 10 inches of viewing pleasure at the same price.. smile.gif

/me taps foot impatiently

Personally, I dig my 42inch Philips 42PF7320A HD plasma. I'm sure those TV's are amazing though.

I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW.

It's only 19 inches, but has coxial, composite, component, VGA, DVI and it has 1440X900 for 1080i.

Not a super tv/monitor, but its only 400 bucks and runs beautimusly.

Nah, absolutely nothing beats gaming on 133" screen. The Optoma HDTV DLP projector is the greatest investment I have ever made! In fact, its a childhood dream come true for me! Who would have known that a projector I paid 1/2 of what my living room tv cost me would be so much better

I dont know about you, but 3000 dollars? I mean thats already expensive as it is. Youd be fine getting just about any Samsung/Sony/Sharp/Mitsubishi for that price.

The real question is what tvs are great for gaming at around 1000 dollars. Because at that price point, you could be striking gold, or cracking a turd open.

Tigerdirect had a 72 hour after thanksgiving special online, I got a 27 in. olevia lcdtv, also $400 blink.gif . 1366x768, looks great, except after a few hours on 1080i, needs to be reset because audio and video out on sync, 720p's fine, 327v is the model

With a projector you have to buy a new lamp after a month ore so if you are a heavy user.....
Beter get a hd tv get like 100.000 hours of pleasure..............

Panasonic TC32LX60 FTW! Resolution and brightness aren't nearly as important as color depth/accuracy, contrast ratio and refresh rate.
