Well, its been about 8 hours worth of work since starting this project last night around 10pm or so.. I magically got everything I needed in the mail way earlier than expected. Overall I love the way it looks. The 1% that isnt completed is I will be modifying a cd bezel to cover the xbox drive bare outside...then I will consider it completed.

Thank you so much to: SickDimension, Llama.com, NewEgg.com, and everyone on here for putting up with my newb threads to provide me the knowledge I needed to build it.

The controller ports are all usb in case anyone is wondering.
Parts needed:
Xbox 1.4 mobo, x2.6 lite, philips dvd-rom, 200gb maxtor hdd, aspire x-qpack green case with 420w psu, 2x 4" green cold cathode lights, glow in the dark 18" rounded ide cable, soldering iron and solder, lots of electric tape, lots of green zip ties, parts to make xbox to pc adapter, oh and fan to mount to cpu heatsink..

p.s. I just looked at this thread and noticed my mobo is hella dirty..will fix later.

A very nice job. The unit looks very smart. The green is excellent.

How did you fit the xbox motherboard? If you didnt do any mods to the plate, what standard is it? smile.gif

the xbox motherboard is not a standard..its not AT, ATX, BTX..none of those..so, to effectively mount it in a pc case it is best to get some acrylic. you drive holes in the acrylic and then mount the acrylic to the case..then drill holes slighly smaller than the normal standoff and create your own threads using the standoffs..then mount the xbox motherboard to the newly created standoffs.

dont be scared off though, that wasnt the hard part

Or you could just cut out the base of an XBOX case, & super glue it to the PC Case's base.
