When upgrading minor versions of XBMC what I currently do it dump them into a XBMC_test DASH directory, and boot it directly from the File Explorer. Then when I've confirmed i like it, i'll port any extra scripts, re-write the Sources XML file(s).

What I'm trying to figure out is what to backup for "upgrade" reasons. Or maybe for minor versions I should merely override the XBMC install folder with the updated build. I know in v1 that's how i did it, and things were good. for v2 though, it said in the upgrade doc to be sure to DELETE EVERYTHING before upgrading, and to definately not over-write the v1 directory.

Maybe things are different now within v2.

CAN I JUST DUMP OVERTOP OF ITSELF????

WHAT ARE THE DB FILES I SHOULD BACKUP/MIGRATE????

thanks in advance (PS - i would've searched, but my results came back blank regardless of search query).
