I have Nero 6 OEM. When I open the Smart Start and under the Copy&Backup section is has "Burn image to disc". Is this the same thing as Nero Burning Rom? Or is that a complete different program I need to download?

Or should I use a different program to burn xbox isos?

Oh and what is a GDF'd iso?

Game Disc Format. a.k.a. an xISO. An Xbox software image file.

Nero can work, but it can often suck. Later versions (like 7) are monstrous.

What are you using to make the images?

I got the iso's from torrents... is it normal for the .iso to look like a rar'd file. It tries to open in winrar even, though it crashes.

So is Nero what I should use? If there are any better programs that are better please tell me.

I have a Thomson drive in my Xbox if that matters. My new DVD burner just came today also.

SAMSUNG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM Write, LightScribe Technology Black IDE Model SH-S182M/BEBN - OEM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827151136

Verbatim DataLifePlus 4.7GB 8X DVD-R 50 Packs Disc - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817130950

So my main question is, did I get a good burner/DVD-R discs that will work good in my Thomson? And what Burning program should I use? Should I burn at lowest speed possible?

Thanks for your help!
