Several people are saying that you can play on Xlink with a xbox360 but I can not get it to work...

Is this possible, if yes can someone help me with this, or post a link to a guide on howto do this ?

download x link, set it up, log in, go into the game u want in kia,
then start up your xbox 360, go to system link, then search, make sure in Kia u see there are people playing.

More help,
go to Kia website and check out the FAQ's.

Kai doesn't detect my xbox360 console even though it can detect my xbox console. All consoles (and the laptop running Kai) are wired into the same router too. What can be missing ???

Dunno if its related, but my original xbox is not banned (modded but never went on live) while the 360 is banned sad.gif

Forget about Xlink-kai OR XbConnect. USe leaf. This prog works with all X360 system-link games without xblive. http://www.leafnetworks.net

XBconnect Xlink Kai or Leaf
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I have setup XBconnect, Xlink Kai and Leaf.

1)
Could not get XBconnect to work. Tried all options in settings
and setup port-foreward in my router. Bypassed all firewalls :-(.

2)
Xlink Kai worked immediately. Seems they use some advanced setup
that automatically finds a way through you firewalls (and NATs).
Played Halo 2. Looks very promising !

3)
Leaf is no alternative to the above mentioned (game) services.
Leaf is just an extension of you home LAN network accross the WAN (internet).
No service for games is offered. No view on what's happening on line.
Gonna set it up to share media (and games) with friends. But for gaming on-line
with the best-of-the-best (my friends ?) no. Gonna use Xlink Kai for that.

P.S.
Once you've seen Xlink Kai you realize that this service is missing from Live! as well.
No need to start up a game to see if something is happening on line.

Hope the Live! market researches are reading this. Just a quick view on Live!
from the dashboard/Live! would do. Short name of the game and number of sessions/users.
Look at xbox1/XBMC for a template !

I know this thread is a cpl years old. And i've been away from the xbox scene for several years.

But due to the recent wave of 360 bans on live, this topic deserves to be revisited.

I use to run xlink kai on the original xbox but that was way back then.

Are peeps successfully running it on the 360?

Remember to forward post 30000, for info on doin this go to http://portforward.com/ Select your router, then scroll down at the bottom of the X category will be Xlink Kai.

Click that and it will be all explained how to do it =). also im pretty sure media sharing has to be enabled.

open windows mediaplayer.. click the Libary drop down list... Go to Media Sharing and make sure your xbox 360 is allowed

The problem is M$ has hardcoded the network port to have high ping on any other service or usage other then their own LIVE servers. -- So network lag will kill this idea.

The glory of it (in my understanding anyways) is that it spoofs the box to believe it is directly connected to other xboxes via LAN. So I don't think that your theory applies. Although I can't say for certain.

He is close. You have to have a ping lower than 30 (although 31 works). I am in Chicago and have played people in IL, IN, MI, and WI

Xlink Kai does work, I have used it today to play MW2 Lag Free with people from all over the UK. Its easy to setup aswell you only have to open a port and change your 360's mac address. Deffinatly worth a look.

Bingo! also, make sure you are using the same version of the game ie game updates. If not, you need to hit Y on your hard drive and delete the system cache. Most people on Kai are using 1.0.557.0, not the updated 1.1.602.1

Biggest thing here is distance. I am playing now with people in Wisconsin and Michigan and I am in Illinois.
