... with X-Chip installed, and he doesn't know which banks are flashed and with what.

Is there a magic way to enter the X-Chip OS (without knowing that it's installed). When I hold in the X button at startup, an EvoX Bios boots, but nothing happens when I hit the start button.

If I can't flash this chip with a new bios, I just softmod it and use the chip as a safety for booting from the DVD-rom in case something should ever happen to my friends box smile.gif

You can flash the chip using the Evox cd after installing. Just go to the proper option on the menu and follow the steps. Go to the easybuy web site and download the instruction manual on flashing your chip also.
