RE-POSTING THIS HERE SINCE I COULDN'T GET ANY FEEDBACK IN THE HARDWARE FORUM...
I'm thinking about getting a Linksys WET54G Wireless-G ethernet bridge for the xbox. I've got a wireless network setup in the house now connected to the internet. If for nothing else, it would allow me to ftp to the box without disconnecting it from my living room and bringing it to my office where my home computer is. What my other ideas are: 1. Can I stream music from my office computer through XBMC over my in-house network? Just to play my stuff on my home theater system. 2. Is there a way to browse the internet using XBMC or do I need to do it with linkbox(sp?)? I saw links in XBMC but not sure what they are for. Pardon my newbie-dom |

yes, you can stream music wirelessly with no problems.. video, however is a whole other animal. I tried in vain to stream 700Mb Divx/Xvid files but eventually gave up..
also, ftp'ing is iffy wirelessly... i experienced many dropped connections and when it worked, it was really slow compared to wired ftp. |

Did you stream music with XBMC?
Thanks for the info on ftp'ing. I was curious about that. |
