Hey guys,
Has microsoft found a way to start locking Hard drives yet? Or is using any version of firmware still a safe bet?

Thanks

I kind of doubt M$ will ever "lock" them per se, since they are external, and designed to be replaced. And the dvdrom firmware has nothing to do with the hdd.

Ok, thanks was just wondering. I figured they would read the firmware or something and then lock down the box somehow, just wanted to make sure nothing like that was happening yet.

Thanks again!
