My current xbox 360 just died after appx a 3 month duration. I have the talismoon fans, keep well ventilated, and even keep it next to my a/c unit. This one seems to glitch on the video after 5-10 min of dash or game, not an overheating problem. No lights or errors, just freezing / artifacting.

My brother had his first 360 for about 4 months before 0102. My question is, how long before it fails? I say this as a matter of time because I wonder how many launch consoles are left.

Please comment on how long you've been with the same box with no problems. It would be sweet to have an average 360 longevity.

Any launch 360's left? If so any mods that help?

I have a launch console still biggrin.gif Back in July I put the stock fans on 12v and added a fan to the GPU and haven't had any problems since. Recently I am installing the talismoon fans and will be running them at 12v with the same setup. If I wouldn't have upgraded my cooling I am almost certain I would be sitting here without an xbox. I also know someone who has had a launch console with no mods and no problems..he is one of the lucky ones I guess dry.gif

how is that possible ? there is no room to put a fan on the GPU the dvd drive is right on top of it !!

I have had my console since September. About 2 weeks ago it started to overheat and give me the 3 red lights. So I did the heat gun trick, applied AS5, Talismoon fans at 12v, and added a 70mm fan to the side of the case. Since then its been running great.
