What kind of data and feedback is Bungie looking to glean from the beta?
We’re looking for a lot of things. Mainly the kinds of things that you cannot otherwise accomplish without the mass of people we'll have, such as stress-testing all of the backend stuff and networking. We’ll be keeping an eye on our forums for general feedback, but the primary goal is to gain valuable technical information that’s only possible when we have tens of thousands of simultaneous players across the world.
i was wondering why was it so "easy" (easy as just buy Crackdown and youīre a beta tester)
to be a Halo 3 beta tester.
i think that bungie is checking a new kind of multiplayer game AND/OR gamers limitation to play all at once.
i mean, in halo 2 what was the limit of all the players playing a multiplayer of OddBall or another game type?
16? 32? 8? i dont know because my original xbox is modded and my ONLY original game is Halo(1) and i have never played on Live with my letīs just call it borrowed Halo 2 game.
Letīs just pretend itīs just 16, iīm not sure. you correct me if iīm wrong but i think that just 64 players playing a multiplayer match on Live with a xbox360 is not enough. i would say that with all the different internet conections nowadays 80 or 90 players at once can be done, in my opinion.
Would you imagine meet 30 people at different countries in the world to play against other 30 people? Thatīd be awesome!!!
