3935 is the evox version and is the newest
you can't upgrade the bios on a softmod

You can upgrade your softmod to Krazie's Ndure 1.1.1 by using CASH ver 1.1. Just save everything you want to the PC first for safe keeping. Then do the upgrade.

You can also FTP the C and E drives to the PC and make the new HD first, then do the upgrade to it. That way if you mess up, you have the 80 gig you can still put in there.

If you get the 250, you should still be able to keep all the data on the F drive. I would use Xbpartitioner to format it in 32k clusters to be safe.

^I disagree. 32kb clusters aren't needed for a 250gb drive, even with "F takes all", and will waste hard drive space if there are many small files. I've maxed out my 250 a few times (after making space, filling it up again) and haven't had any problems.

I would get as big as you can afford. 250GB or greater ive filled up and 80 gig, then went to the 250 gig, now its almost filled. Thinking of getting a 400GB here soon.

Anyways get the 250GB hard drive. Ive had very good luck with western digital hard drives. They never stop working. You would probably want to nkpatch .06 so you can have one huge ass F partition. I have a 250 gig hard drive running fine without partitioning in 32k clusters. But as pointed out may as well do it to be safe.

that mean i can just format the new hd w/out the other patching, partitioning stuff?
