[QUOTE] There's a reason why gamers choose the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller over other gamepads; it delivers a mean combination of precision, speed and accuracy. Windows gamers can take advantage of the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and other Xbox 360 wireless accessories with the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows, which is now available on store shelves.
As a great gift for yourself or for fellow gamers, the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows costs $19.99 (MSRP) and is available at retailers across North America including, GameStop, Wal-Mart and Circuit City. For gamers that need both a wireless controller and receiver, Microsoft is offering the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows which includes both the receiver and controller in one package for $59.95 (MSRP).
The Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows opens up a whole new world of Windows gameplay by allowing the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel to work on any Windows Vista or Windows XP (SP1 or higher)-based PC. I was surprised to see this on the front page. I thought this was old news and I saw one of these at walmart the other day before this story came out.
I guess it is cool though if you play computer games or something, maybe use it as a HID like a wireless mouse if that is possible? that would be better. The only reason I would get one is if I stole it or someone just handed me one. I don't see either of those things happening tho.

I've had mine for almost a week now - and I must say I LOVE IT! I use my wireless headset on both the console and PC games. So far I haven't encountered any syncing issues with the headset and controller in tandem to the wireless receiver - though I have encountered it once on my 360.

Been waiting for this for a long time now. Hopefully it works as advertised and hacks to allow it to work as a media remote. Maybe a chance for Myth TV drivers.

I've been writing a game for the PC that makes use of the 360 controller. For some reason my code only works with a wired controller, which seems really strange considering the code was more or less ripped straight from MSDN.
