I have a few questions about paint choice..

I have heard good things about Dupli-Color so I've been browsing their product lines.

Has anyone used their Instant Chrome and how well does stand against any wear.

I had heard someone mention using a fabric dye product or something...Would this be similar to their 'Vinyl and Facbric Coating' Line??

And Last....What would be the best way to speckle paint. I would like to splatter black paint lightly againt the browns to get a brick-type effect. Any suggestions, or better alternative ideas to giving a brick look?

Thanks ahead of time, This is my first post here. I've greatly enjoyed viewing everyone's posts and mods. Awesome stuff here.

I've also seen Krylon fusion thrown out there as another can option.

Anyone have any experience or comparisons with this and the DupliColor lines?

im not that good of a painter but i know enamel = bad in most cases sept ive seen alot of clear coat enamels so try to stay away from enamels i believe. i may be wrong. but you need a sandable primer, high grade sandpaper. as far as the best speckle/sparkle jobs ive seen. the guy did 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of green, 2 coats of blue, and i believe 1 coat of metal flake clear coat. there is speckle paint. Krylon Fusion is really good. but if you do it over the same spot twice theres a very good chance of it being runny or thicker in some places than others. or maybe thats just me cause i suck.

heres the paintjob by unusual.

I personally dont like krylon fusion, Ive used it before and the paint peeled off easily. My fav. is Duplicolor, they have everything. The dye paint is good, Ive used the duplicolor vinyl dye (black) and it came out great. I havent tried out the other colors, but I liked the black. As for clear coat, you can use duplicolor's line or krlyon's triple clear glaze, that thing did wonders. Good luck

Who makes a clear speckle/flake? I haven't seen it on either Dupli-Color or Krylon.

Off topic real quick: What tool do people use for etching? There a bit for a Dremel or somethin? Like the person that did that Apple case.
