Kernel Master informed us he released a new version of EkszBox-ABX(info) - an audio extraction/injection tool which supports multiple xbox audio/container formats.
What's new/fixed:
* 28 formats supported.
* Exclusive Hwx support (Star wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith).
* Exclusive Lug support (Fable).
* Exclusive Samp support (Namco Museum 50th Anniversary).
* Exclusive Wxv support (Namco Museum 50th Anniversary).
* Fsb Support (Flatout 2).
* Mpk support (Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes, Mission Impossible: Operation Surma).
* Pod support (BloodRayne 2).
* Xbox Iso support (Thanks to Andrew de Quincey's Xbox Dvd Filesystem documentation).
* PC version of Chronicles Of Riddick is now supported (Xwc/Swwc).
* More robust Rws code; doesn't crash on Kill Switch, Mashed or Neighbours From Hell Rws's anymore.
* Cleaned up Xwb code (Runs faster due to this).
* Batch load/extract speedup (Up to 70% on small files).
* Filelist load speedup (70-85%).
* Improved error/incompatible file handling & memory allocation.
* Added 'Cancel Batch' button; Cancels batch mode file extraction.
* X360 Xwb header info is now byteswapped in assembly as opposed to C++ (50% faster).
* Scx could miss very small files at the end of archives- fixed.
* The following extensions are now supported: .pak - (OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast) & .dvdxwb/.hdxwb - (MechAssault 2) as pertaining files are standard Xwb's.
* Last used Scx & fileSwap directories are now remembered.

Awesome work.

But, now I've got these XNA files that I can't seem to find a utility to play them back with. Oh, you're such a tease! =P

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

In regard to the xma files:

It's a tease for me too as id love to figure out how to convert these into wma format.

To do that we would need:

To know the differences between xma & wma.

& possibly some original xma files i.e. xma's which have their headers intact.

If we had indepth documentation on the xma format that would be good too.

However, someone who knew the wma format very well (not me) may be able to figure out how to reverse engineer these without needing most of the above.

In regard to Flatout 2:
There is no support for file swap/injection for the fsb format.
If you are interested in doing some testing I could look into adding support for it.

If they use the same hwx container files then yes.

Note:
the hwx compatibility is not perfect, as some wav's contain 4 channels of data I think.
It is probably not difficult to extract each stream into a seperate wav file, I just didn't have enough time to look into it.
If there are requests I may try to find a fix for the next version.

I just thought I might add (as I don't see it mentioned here) that there's a great doc included that's basicly a guide how to crack the different formats. Recommended for the curious smile.gif

Thanks for the compliment/plug.

I did find a bad newbie error in my tut, here:

"10 dec and 10h, as these are not equal (10h = 17 dec)."

Correction: (10h = 16 dec)

I will fix this & any other errors I find (or are reported to me) on the next version.

Is it possible to add read/write support for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, X-Men Legends 1/2 and X-Men The Official game sound files? They all use a native ZSM and ZSS sound format. I could get you more info on that format as well if you'd like, as well as provide sample files.

I have tried both 1.5 and 1.6, but every time I try to convert a SW Ep III Hwx file into wav then try to play the wav it says: Missing Codec, unable to open.
