Pro's= Fun, lots to discover, lots of replay value, great story/vehicles/weapons/etc, missions are a blast to play.

Con's=Some missions are extremely frustrating (for example, the misson where you have to destroy all these drug posts across the 3 city's in 8 mins) Cops don't care if someone fights you.

OVERALL COMMENT= GTA3 is a game to remember, replay value,story,missions and most importantly. The fun. That's why GTA3 gets a 8.7!

The only thing good about GTA III - Is it set a predessor to Vice City, Andreas and the step before IV. Once I can be bothered to clock this game I will never play it again. I reckon most people would agree. There are a number of flaws in GTA III and Vice City which do your head in. You can't climb walls you can't go everyway and you die by just touching water.

Replay value today - none.

yeah i guess it's too high also... same old grand theft auto... i don't know but if they can smoothin' up there graphics i'll be playing it again though...

On both PS2 and XBOX the framerate is like 15 or less, really choppy. The controls are miles better on the consoles than they are on the PC though, still I don't know, I feel it didn't age very well.

It's still a good game, and I don't mind the low framerate (though I wish you could rotate the camera with the right control stick, as you can on later games), but I think that GTA: San Andreas is the best GTA3 style game I've played (inlcuding the disappointing GTA: IV on the XBox 360) and I'd recommend that game above all to people who want to try these games. GTA: Vice City had the best music and atmosphere, but San Andreas is better in every other way, I think.

I've not yet played Saint's Row 2 (XBox 360), but I've heard it's excellent. maybe the best GTA3 style game yet.

I just installed the GTA 3 NYC mod (for PC) on my (xbox) game. The game works still but so far, I haven't noticed a difference in anything but the radio stations. I only played a little tho. Maybe as I get further into the game, I will see some changes.
