Anyone choosing to conduct any sort of transaction with another member on XS does so at their own risk and expense.
As individuals, you need to take responsibility for your own actions, and you need to take responsibility for the fact you are dealing with strangers on the internet. Xbox-Scene is not a professional Sales service.. and is provided free and without any kind of warranty. We also will not ban people because you claim they ripped you off. Do NOT send the the "evidence" as we simply do not have the time, manpower, or will to follow through on your complaints. We have no intention of mediating any more disputes.
If you are ripped off, the only thing you are allowed to do on XS is to report it in the thread of the seller/buyer/trader ONCE. Alternatively you can make a note in your signature stating your grievance with the user. What you cannot do is spam other XS forums with your complaints. Do not make threads complaining about transaction that have gone bad. Do NOT contact staff complaining that a user has ripped you off. Do NOT make new threads in this or any other XS forum complaining about the "user" that ripped you off.
Xbox-Scene Does not recommend or endorse the use of the XS BST forums unless you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions, and you assume all risk. We do however recommend that people who wish to assume that risk should research the people they are dealing with, and alternatively search out and use professional Sales forums.(many of which offer the services and customer protection you keep asking us for here on XS but will NOT get here!)
People who continue to ignore the clearly posted rules and post complaints all over the place despite moderators and staff closing and moving them.. expect two things to happen.. the person complaining (and not necessarily the accused) will have their account closed, and that BST will get closed altogether. XS has already dedicated too much time and human resources to maintaining this area of the site. If it continues to be a problem we will close it.
Also.. do not ASK for any expansion of the BST type forums as we have no intention of adding forums to this area, or to expand the services provided.
Feel free to LIST your XBOX or XBOX item for Buy, Sell or Trade. others can feel free to offer any number of legal items (under the XS rules of course) or cash in trade.
What people cannot do, is start new thread, and offer NON xbox items. Period. No new threads with people offering non-XBOX stuff.
UPDATE:Getestore and Similar “store” / commissioned pre-made store type concepts – No Commission Based Sales. Period. This is pretty much a BST and BST360 specific rule. Any products offered for sale should be in direct possession by the seller. From now on, and new post in any of the BST sales type forums on XS, must list the products and merchandise in their entirety in the post on XS, or don’t bother posting at all on our site. To be perfectly blunt, XS is not here for you to make money. XS sponsors are the only exception to this rule. The items listed in any sales thread or post on XS, must actually be in the possession of the person(s) listing it for sale or trade. Selling items for a 3rd party business via a commission based "Ready Made Internet Store" does not constitute owning the stock, and will result in a closure of the thread, and possibly the account. We want members to be directly accountable for any actions/tractions they conduct on our site.
UPDATE JAN 2007: Do not start threads asking "what can I get for 5$, 10$ etc" as staff will close them and make a ban req on your account. when making a new post, either Offer to sell a product, or trade a product. If you want to buy something.. go into an existing thread and make an offer on a product or service. DO NOT MAKE NEW THREADS ASKING WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR $5 bucks etc.
Do Not Offer to Buy, Sell, or Trade GameFly Subscriptions. Members can get their own subscriptions.
UPDATE: XS will not DELETE threads on demand. Even in light of the Raids on US shops. You can request it be removed/made invisible, however, we will keep it open for 30 days if you do so, allowing those you have serviced can comment, communicate, and / or complain or raise issues. We can make some requested edits though of info you posted, however, we will keep it on file. Note, deleting or removing your thread at this point is too little, too late. the authorities have that info already, and worse, every search engine and spider crawler on the net has it archived.

Since Nubbs won't respond to pms, has blocked me, and is ignoring me completely, I have been forced to take my claim here.
On January 4th, I purchased two hard drives (one 200 gig and one 160 gig) from him for 90 bucks. Three weeks later, after having not received anything in the mail, I pm'd him and he apologized to me for "forgetting" to ship them. Fast forward to 5 -6 weeks later, having still not received anything, I began private messaging nubbs for an explanation. He became very defensive, saying that he went to the post office and they had told him that I had received them already. Very unlikely, as the date he assumed that I had received them was only within a day or two of the second shipping date, and seeing that I am in Canada, there is very little chance of that happening. I asked him for proof of shipping and proof that I had indeed received them, which is impossible unless he shipped them priority, which is the only international shipping method that would make me sign for anything, and I received nothing. A week later, I received an apology from Nubbs saying that the post office had indeed "lost" my package and that he was getting it back and would be paying for the extra shipping to ensure the package arrival. He felt "really awful", even though it wasn't his fault.
Okay, so I guess bad things can happen....
It is now two weeks later.....again. I private messaged him again and asked if they went off okay, jokingly telling him that the post office should really have eaten the cost of shipping and shipped them priority for him at no extra charge. Nothing. No response and I was just being friendly. I've been tracking my messages. He deletes them without reading them.
Today, I am fed up. I sent a money request through paypal for my 90 bucks. I promised that "if" the hard drives arrived that I would return the money to him. Of course, he declined my paypal request and has now blocked my name from his private messaging, so now I have no way to get a hold of him... with the exception of his ip address, email address, and cell phone number. But I don't consider myself an ass, so I am holding back on filling up his email with messages and holding off on making a few phone calls.
Seeing that I am not a young kid, have a great job, and have an over abundance of patience, I will let him make amends and if the hard drives do make it to my door, I will completely clear his name and tell everyone here of his honesty. As a high school teacher, the one thing I try to impart on my students is that they will screw up and make mistakes, but in any case, if they are wrong and are caught, that they should "suck it up" and admit their errors and make up for them. Show some responsibility and maturity nubbs! At least prove to me that you did indeed send them, and I will lay off, but 3 and a 1/2 months.... please, even you would be pissed off after spending that much money without anything to show for it!
