Ive decided to flash my 360.

Ive done several searches on the forum and I have found out I have an Hitchi/samsung drive.

Im confused because there are so many tutorials on how to flash the 360 I dont know which one is the best.

Also I keep seeing topics on ms25 & ms28 drives???

Do I have to find my drive model number as well?

Can anyone recommend one which will show me how to flash my drive.

Plse look at the pinned section at the top of the forum ( Where To Find Help, Info, Tools For The XS Newbie PLEASE !!!READ!!! BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS! ).

Do you have a HITACHI 3120 or a samsung 943??

if so which version
hitachi: 46, 47, ...
samsung:ms25 or ms28

Again the pinned will direct you to Faq, Links & Important Threads for flashing tutorial and info.

I looked at that image of the three drives and my drive is the samsung drive.

how would I find out which model it is? do I have to then open the 360 up?

thanks for the reply

in ^^ you will find the Step By Step Tutorial On How To Flash Ms25&ms28 and Textbook Tutorial that are the two best for flashing a samsung.

as per Textbook Tutorial you will have the list of compatible chipset if it is a ms25. if you have a ms28 then you must have a Via Mboard in your pc or a via6421 Sata card.

Before you ask any questions on flashing your drive, you must first consult the Faq, Links & Important Threads section on flashing, and the Released & Recommended Firmware And Guides , and also this document covering all aspects of flashing.

yes you open it, LOOK at the guides.

Same time. LOL.
