which, if i remember correctly was posted as a xecuter news release about their products being better made or something.
it's great to see Xeno respond to this and improve their product while still keeping it affordable.
looks like they might give xecuter a run for their money. agree it is nice to see them be open to constructive criticism. afaik alot of major electronics IE lcd tvs computers etc are all made in china at the moment anyway. its all about quality control.

Regardless of which is better or if one is a copy of the other, its good to see people are open minded enough to listen to consumers/critics and improve their product. Can't be too mad at people who listen....

Well thats what happens when you rush to purchase a product. Just look at launch consoles
My only gripe is that by the looks of it you still need to use your 360 power brick. The plus side to the Blaster360 is that it uses Molex PSU power. Xeno needs to also have this option added and retain the same price they have now. If they do this then I will consider a purchase. All in all glad to see they fixed previous issues.

maybe it shouldve been done right the first time. but something has to be said for listening to customers (or in this case an immature competitor) and improve your product.

Molex connector .... Yep, gotta agree. With a Blaster360 you could connect it to the ATX power supply inside your PC. If you do then you would effectively have a common ground between PC and 360 drive. With the 360 powering the Xeno and your PC on a different ATX power supply there can't be a common ground which kinda sucks. At the very least a grounding pin for connecting a crocodile clip ....

See for the first version of xeno like i have i just bought mine on 22/03/07 now to stop it shorting could we not just put a bit of electrictap under the Power IC and over the top of the capacitor would this work just i dont want to have to buy another one just got this one and dont want it to break.

Right i done what i posted above this should stop it shorting so if you have the old one like me do this use a flat head to lift the silver bit up and place a bit of electricaltap under and over like the images this should in theory stop the ic and copacitor shorting out.
Also as for the blaster 360 i would not buy that am not paying $60 or more for the same product i can get one that is better dosnt look as nice but better no external stuff needed turn on the 360 and away you go buy a usb to sata converter and your laugthing no need to open the 360 or your pc plug and play and i have had no probs with this product 4 wires and its installed no need for 2 boards god knows how meany wires to get the job done.

Yep, and fry your drive with the floating ground ... Not risking this again. Blaster360 = few dollars more whereas new 360 drive = lots more dollars.
