I see you have a v1.0 BOX with the Xecuter 2.6 in it. First off I was wondering if you have been able to solve your problem yet. Regardless I had a VERY similar (if not the SAME) problem. I too have a v1.0 BOX with the 2.6; and trust me I was a cross between pissed and nervous when my box started FRAG after installing the chip and flashing it (or attempting to). So I will give you *my* exact scenario, and you can run down the list to check it up with the problems you are having. So I purchase my BOX and my mod chip. I find out it is a v1.0 box (after receiving it) and I had the Xecuter 2.6 CE mod chip. I decide to utilize the existing solder in the LPC that is only found on the 1.0 M/B and do a WIRE install for the modchip. I install the Xecuter 2.6 in my v1.0 BOX (using the wire install instead of putting the pin header on the M/B) and boot her up with the chip first disabled. Everything worked fine. Boot her up with the chip enabled; everything worked fine; it booted to the FlashBIOS as it should. I also flashed my x2 using FTP. Then for an unknown reason to me after I flashed it it started FRAG both banks! So I ran out and bought an external flashing device. Then having the external programmer flashed the thing again & seemed to have went well. Got it installed back in my BOX just to have her FRAG *AGAIN/STILL*!!! To make my long story short; after checking all solder connections with a multi-meter for continuity they all checked out fine; which really threw me for a loop. I found out (since I did the wire install) somehow {playing with it a lot} that somehow one or more of the pins on the end of the wires that go into the chip (where it would sit on the pinheader if you did the pinheader install) must not have been "seated" properly / was lose. After 'shoving' the wires/pins into the modchip PRESTO it started working =D After looking around and looking around and looking around I never really saw anyone make that complaint before (lose wires/pins on a wire install) everyone thought I was a total n00b or something and couldn't solder for crap or whatever. So I would say before you shell out any dough on an external programmer juss double check everything of the connection nature on the inside. Rip ur BOX back open make sure all contacts have continuity. If you did do the wire install make darn sure *all* the wires are shoved into the chip. I still don't fully realize how my box booted FlashBIOS just fine and appeared to DO the flash just fine, but then couldn't boot the bios I had just flashed. But that seems to have been my case. After all was said and done like I said I am more than happy with the way mine is set up and working now. As I said after I figured everything out I have a nice 1024 (512x2) file that I made for the x 2.6 CE where bank 1 is the 5035 and bank 2 is the FlashBIOS. (PM me if you want that) either way whether yours is juss the flash or it is a more brain stumbling problem like mine I hope you are on your way to having a fun filled future with your BOX and the X 2.6 CE in her =) once you do get it working you're gonna b in heavin trust me. I love the X 2.6 CE it is an awesome chip. You can catch me on any of the messengers (yahoo, AIM, or MSN/windows messenger) my screen name on ALL of them is BYKELIFE
