Ok, heres the deal. I'm going to get my son a DS for his birthday in May. I had read some on the flashcarts for the gba because everytime i turned around he lost one of his games. But i never took the plunge due to the cost of the carts at the time.

So today I started reading around a few sites about the DS and seeing if a similar option was available. I'd just like to make sure I understand this.

If I get him the DS, and either the R4 or the M3, thats all i need, correct? I wont need some second card in the "lower slot" or anything else. Just get the roms on the R4 or M3 (with microsd) and plug it in, turn it on, and hes good to go?

Once I get an answer on that, then I guess I gotta figure out the whole rom thing. If anyone knows of a link on how to dump them legit, let me know.

seems as if you have it all, check th fourms at R4DS, that is what did and got an R4. I also think there is a suggested retailer thred to.

next question...about videos on the ds

i read about moonshell and saw that batchdpg program.

how is video playback on the ds (as in quality)?

if i'm converting 700mb-1gb divx movies, how big are they after the conversion?
