Hi!
Had my Box modfixed with the Nitroxx chip and EvolutionX plus a 120gb drive. Got the box yesterday. Plugged it with the cables and pressed the ON button. This happened:
The box tried to boot but failed. It tried again and failed. The third time it went on but the greenlighted ejectbutton flashed between RED and GREEN. And that was it. No Xbox intro. Nothing.
I shut it down and tried the eject button:
Ahh Xbox intro, great!! But just when I expected to see EvolutionX(havn't actually seen it so I don't know what to expect!) instead a message came up:
- Your Xbox requires service. Please call Xbox Customer Support.
The ejectbutton flashs RED and GREEN.
My question is what has happened and can I myself do anything to fix it?

Chip misaligned (happens during shipping). Contact your guys who modded yer box. Let em know whats going on, if they say "hey, its not our problem!" then you'll have to find someone on this forum to help you out. If you didnt do any of the modding yerself you WILL want to get educated about modding first! I CANNOT stress this more than anything! LEARN FIRST!

yeh the error code means that the hard drive is not locked, the hard drive does not have to have been locked if you are booting into evox or similar however because it is asking for a locked drive it shows that it is trying to boot the original xbox bios - in otherwords the chip is not fixed correctly. as stee-black said - if the people who chipped if for you deny that its their problem then we can try and help, its likely one of the solder points was not fixed properly.

Thanks for the support!
Hopefully they probably just made a mistake. They seemed pretty serious when I was there. I was recommended to go there by a friend who has the same chip and his box runs smooth as butter.
