every company worldwide usually will produce and release their product in their own country's market before releasing in other countries - it is both more efficient with distribution/manufacturing and more fiscally responsible.
Not true, Nintendo have long since realised that North America gives them a lot more love than Japan.
And consider this; WHY the delay? Take the original Xbox 360. To be sold in Europe, the dash supposedly needed to be translated into every damn language, needed enough GAMES to be ready in enough languages, needed to settle technical differences (PAL/SECAM working, correct power supplies produced). Now I guess I'm getting a bit too worked up over what IS just a rumour, but if Microsoft only needed 10 extra days for Europe because of all that stuff, why should they need so many more for the Elite?
Unless of course the only reason it was a 10 day wait was because it was intentionally delayed in the US for Christmas, but judging by the stock issues, that seems kinda doubtful.
