nothing new that the 360 continues to punish the ps3...
but where are all those DS units going? seriously who are buying those things? that's good news for Nintendo, but i am completely baffled by those sales figures...
It only sold 50% more than the ps3. Hardly a punishment considering how much longer the unit has been on the market and how many games. Heck I just convinced a friend to buy one. He said he wanted a PS3 because he wanted to play shooters and online games. He is basically a PC gamer who wants a console. I laughed and convinced him to get a 360. He kept saying he wanted the ps3 because he had a ps2 (got it in 2004) and that he hated the original xbox controller. My point with this is that Sony still has an advantage when it comes to late adopters and MS still needs to prove itself to attract more of the "wait and see" crowd.
And as far as the DS goes. Have you been living in a cave for the past 2 years? People like them. They have games like the GBA and unique games that seem to work well in portable format. Parents in the US like to shut their kids up by sticking a handheld gaming unit in their hands and that is why the GBA is still selling like crazy.
