I was away from the forums for the past week

I just came back to let you guys know that my order of 5 chameleons came in yesterday and I installed 3 of them on a v1.0 a v1.1 and a v1.2 !

I used the Quick Solder install for the V1.0 (less than 5 mins)
and on the V1.1 and V1.2 I used the pin header install... works like a charm

I also used the extra wires to the E and P lines to controll the chip from mode 4 and A15 all checked out to work 100% on all versions

I must say the manuals are more than clear and provide great documentation and pictures
for every level of skill

I even had a go at the software controllable banks and flashing etc (all work as described)
I disabled with Chameleon with the Dashboard option and also flashed each bank one by one and used them to boot... great feature.

Flashing Via the CD is a real cool idea and is really easy, i just buirned my bios as LINUXBIO.BIN using nero (as shown in manual) and it worked first go!

Just wanted to share my great experience with the Chameleon and all the Xbox version...

Note: before you install the chip be sure to download ALL the manuals on the xodus site because they provide really usefull info and suggestions you should know about before you attempt anything

beerchug.gif good work Xodus

www.usps.com

Oh, and it won't track for a business day or two... usps tracking is essentially useless...they should call it what it is, delivery confirmation.

I don't know where any pictures are (I'd love to see a properly soldered pinheader), all the photos I've seen are on the top side and the pinheader soldering takes place on the bottom of the mobo. Once you actually see it and place the pinheader, the soldering will make sense to you.

What steps did you take in flashing the banks from the dashboard in Mode 4? I have edited the evox.ini file but it still does not work.

Yeah, I see he didn't want to respond to my chain-yanking. laugh.gif

People are just a bit too excited about this. The Chameleon is a nice chip, but you'd think a 1MB chip that solders into the Xbox was a new thing. ohmy.gif

I dont mean to hijack this thread, but i don't want to start another chameleon thread.

Is the chameleon supposed to come with wires? I got mine in a few days ago and i didn't see any for the pin-header install.

thanks.
