I'm assuming that's the reason for the delay. They're probably looking into Commodore4eva firmware hack and seeing if they can do anything about it now, or wait for the Summer update.

I WANT a dashboard updates whit:
1)1 year old xboxlive content and games BECOME FREE on xboxlive
2)I can insert in my gamertag pictures,the images i sharing from PC.
2)I Can insert in ALL FOUR blade of the dashboard my wallpapers shared whit pc and not only 1 blade..
4)xbox360 mediaplayer can run all format video (divx,avi ecc.) and not only wmv
5)The dashboard section of the content downloadable for games,video etc.,ordered by Alphabetical letters and number at the top of the dash.
6)A Search fuction in the dashboard
7)Xbox360 mediaplayer more optimized for fastward and rewind in video
8)An update for mini-usb keyboard compatibility becouse some keyboard mini-usb TURN ON automatically the XBOX360.
9)I Can play JAPANESE games and content in my XBOX360 PAL whitout any unofficial illegal mod
10)A GLOBAL marketplace whit GLOBAL content,and not USA marketplace whit ALL free,and ITALIAN/JAPANESE marketplace whit Nothing
11)Region Free content in the Marketplace.

This is what all people i know want,and not the SHIT and Useless new features i see in the official release of new dash.

Can or Want microsoft do this in the next update?
NO.

Then i don't wait this dashboard,becouse for me ther'is NOTHING interesting in the news dashboard.


I write more day and more time at microsoft for request new caracteristic on the news dashboard
but microsoft never listen me.

For a start you would not add a new feature in now (anti-jitter).. there would have been:
a) a code freeze weeks ago.
a complete testing cycle which takes longer than a day
c) adding a little change into a code base this late in the day, with out fully testing to core software that goes out to million is basically suicide.
d) they would have to design a new way of testing, and you do not just sit down and hack as core kernel code.
e) M$ know this.


Im a developer, and you cannot just add a complete new low level feature this late in the day, its bound to have knock on effects which need to all be fully regression tested from scratch.

I would be very very surprised if they do.. as this is such such bad practice.

I agree with ITALIANO on some of those things, the XBLM downloads going free after a year sounds like a good idea. By that time, the maps, games etc are a bit old, maybe the arcade games could drop to half price.

Xvid playback is still very high on the list, but not for me, and guys, theres only the slightest chance it will happen. Everyone knows xvid is pretty much only for pirated material, and ms are gonna get in trouble for adding it, especially with their connections with universal, paramount, warner bros etc for the vid marketplace.

My friend just reminded me though, why do i want to be able to take to msn friends on the xbox when i can do it on the comp? I go to the 360 for games, use PC for chat, net etc. Eh.

I will not be applying this early. I learned my lesson from the Fall-Update which costed me $300

Just image having this happen to your brand-new Elite model.
