Me and my friend both bought xbox's off of ebay from the same bloke at the same time with the following description: Samsung/ Hitachi drive + Xtreme firmware. We didnt know what this was when we first bought it so we werent worried, and the consoles came with 10 games, presumably copies. We bought them sometime mid 2006. My friend went on xbox live before me, and after a week or so his xbox broke with the error E66 code. If i now go on Xbox live with copied games will my xbox brake with the same error? If so how would i fix this problem?

you really need to read the rules!!!

first using copies of game for which you do not have originals is called piracy (the fact you were or not expecting them to be copies as nothing to do with it, you still used them)

and no discussion of using backups on live and potential ban, if you want to post here about Live, it is must be about using originals.
