Best Shot At Not Getting Banned [procedure] Options

Hi All,

I've reading high and low, theories, opinions, sceptecisim, you name it. This is for those of us that do not know if we are yet BANNED, but have been using modded consoles for a period prior to the HAMMER.

I do not proclaim to be an expert on the matter - this is purely a shot at covering all possible bases under "our" control, if at all possible.

Therfore my hypothesis for the best chance at somehow circumvent getting banned is thusly :

0) Do not get on LIVE till step 5
1) Wait for and flash with the upcoming iXtreme firmware
2) Run the secret Xbox 360 HDD cache clear code (access 'memory' in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Now press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X)
3) Completely reformat the Hard Drive - this will blow away all profiles, game updates and save games. Step 2 may have been irrelevant - but we cannot be 100% certain that something else doesn't also gets flushed with it.
4) Load up an Original disc over and over and over, the more times the better - this is in case the console is storing boot patterns in EEPROM somewhere. If there is a limited amount of slots, this may flush out the "Backup" DVD log patterns. LIVE may make a call on this EEPROM when connected to determine if you've been bad.
5) Connect to live and pray for fogivness for all the bad stuff you've ever done !

i was planning on doing just that, have been playing offline 1 week before spring update, hope this works, if not i don't really care that much for live anyway, if i can just play games is fine too

I consider doing that. But I was thinking, what about the Core-gamers? Did Microsoft put some log on the memory unit or something? I have a HDD, but erasing my savegames is a waste (IMO). Maybe you can backup the saves and put them back after the formatting, or did MS implent the log in the savegames themselves?

And how would it be possiuble to use your HDD on a non-modded xbox without getting banned? Does Microsoft log into EEPROM or something?
