One of my friends calls me about his Xbox not working at all. He tells me that it doesn't power up anymore. I tell him to bring it over so I can take a look at it and try to fix the problem

Well, he dropped it off, I open it up, not expecting to see this:

What is this? Roach poop?
IPB Image

As soon as I took off the top shell, one of 'em fell out to the side
IPB Image

This is so disgusting! What the hell is that!?
IPB Image

Haha I accidently screwed one of them into the hole
IPB Image

Kinda sad to see one of these live a short life.... dry.gif

What makes matters worse is that i'm terrified of roaches. Now, every few minutes i brush myself everytime I get a small itch thinking that one of these things are on me.

I told my friend that I couldn't work on his Xbox until he cleaned it out his self, smell and all

EDIT: Resized pics from 2816 x 2112 resolution to 640 x 480

Ugh, I hate roaches too. We used to have them in our house all the time in north carolina.

I will admit I'm not fond of poop or bugs or a combination of both. I would wear gloves while modding that thing!

I would just get a new case. The case is litterally shitty. and you can get a case way better than that for dirt cheap on the BST. Mmmm fried roaches rolleyes.gif .

Yep, I've dealt with on as well that had like 5 or 6 earwigs (the thigns that look like miny lobsters but with pinchers on their ass). Thank god they were all stuck, fried to the PSU/mobo lol. And the guy wondered why his xbox was fragging (true story, wish I had a pic sleep.gif )

why the hell would roaches live in an xbox? your friend should use it without the case off and everything spread out as much as possible for a while so it's a nice, open space like roaches hate. and since he seems to know nothing about xbox, tell him not to touch the power supply while it's on.

and tell him not to play it with the case closed and shrink wrapped or whatever or hell fry it from overheating. remember, case off until they're gone (hopefully for good).

that is, if it ever powers up again.

I got hold of a crystal from gamestation once that had eggs and bugs between the metal shielding and the plastic. It was also full of cobwebs. It must have been sat in the drawer for a long time.

Another crystal I got was so nicotine stained it was yellow. God it smelt bad too.

Some people really don't know how to take care of stuff. Most consoles I come across nowadays are in a shit state.

Never seen a console infested before. I work with laptops and we had one come into work one time, from Germany (that wasn't meant as a a dig at Germany BTW, lovely place) teeming with the little beggars. All huddled around the grid array..Cosy and warm I guess. biggrin.gif
