imagine a game machine where you're just going to pick up the bat and swing it or the tennis racket and swing it."
As the similarities behind his concept and that of the Wii were pointed out, Gates responded: "No, that's not it. You can't pick up your tennis racket. And swing it."
As much as I enjoy MS's products, this whole comment made me laugh.
Bill: Imagine a totally new revolutionay device... it's a rope... connected by two handles... that kids can play with.
Reporter: You mean... a jump rope?
Bill: NO NO NO! You grasp it in both hands and then proceed to jump over it rythmically. It's totally never been done before, we call it Microsoft's super wacky fun rope, available in Ultimate, Home, Home Basic, and Business.
So I guess if Nintendo were to make Wii sports 2 and the ability to "pick up" the bat or tennis racket is implemented, MS's hopes will apparently be dashed
