Hello,

It's my first post here so don't yell at me if I put it in wrong section =)

Here is what I want to do and then I'll ask questions and need help with it from all of you that know more then others do =D

I have X360 Premium with Samsung drive flashed with XF 5.2b. I was banned not long ago that's why I want to do this trick.

My friend have X360 Premium with Hitachi drive on board and unknown to me FW but I think it's XF 2.4 (latest). He NEVER played on Live so he's not banned and he will NEVER play on Live so he can have my banned 360 =)

Problem is that his Hitachi was always acting funny that's why I don't want to have problem with it later, besides usually Samsung FW comes first =)

[ Question 1: ]

What do I need to do to change drives? From what I heard so far I have to replace they DVD Key so each mainboard will know that new drive is the old one. Here comes question 2.

[ Question 2: ]

How to extract DVD Key from Hitachi & Samsung drive using possible easiest software that's available?

[ Question 3: ]
Do I need to flash the drive again to change it DVD Key?
If YES: Can I just make a copy of Hitachi FW that is on it now and just update it with DVD Key and flash again?
If YES: Do you have any Hitachi flashing FAQ? (Video/Text)

[ Question 4: ]
I would like to use iPrep 101 v0.0.1 for flashing Samsung. I don't know if it can flash Hitachi to. From what I know it's easiest way to do it. Is there any video showing flashing using this software?

MAIN GOAL IS:

Put in NOT banned X360 my Samsung drive with iXF v1.2. Put the Hitachi drive in to the banned X360 easiest way just to make it work.

That will allow me to get back on Live with my Samsung drive and pray not to get banned again =)

You're a friggin' retard if you think MS will not ban the other 360 sooner or later. Just flash your drives back with the original firmwares and swap the keys. And buy the games you want to play on live. If you insist on using backups install a modchip.

I'm not asking about your opinion of using backups or iXF 1.2 but about help from someone who know more then you and don't post on topics you have no idea about.

I still need some technical help from smart people here =)

Then so, even dumber people than me have found the answer on various places on this forum. Off course there are smarter people that are not posting, because this question has been answered like a million times already. Don't even know why I bother.

You don't need smarter technical people you need to have the balls to flash the friggin' drives already. If you're scared of flashing then don't open the casing. When you get the guts, read the faqs. There is a huge one which I read somewhere.

I could tell you how to flash but instead of waiting for answers you should do some flashing. Maybe you'll learn something and then you can answer the weekly questions of drive swapping.

Your best option is to get a new 360 and not screw with it in any way and use it for your Live gaming. If you want to swap drives and go rolling the dice again there are enough tutorials on both the Hitachi and Samsung drives to keep ya busy reading on how to do it for a couple of days and then do it right, and ya should if you've never tried anything like this before. Don't just do "some flashing" without knowing how it all works first and having the correct tools you need, the Hitachi and Samsung drives are different animals. Worst case you'll end up with 2 bricked drives and no keys backed up and then have 2 completely usesless 360s.

Problem is that getting new X360 for me is like paying 2 month pays for it and having nothing left for living. In my country it's still quite expensive. That's the only reason I'm trying to do something with it that looks as crazy as my first post. If those questions ware asked earlier please link me to it.

Thanks in advance and sorry for being pain in the ass...

P.S

We don't even have Live here... it's illegal here for now till they bring it here...

Just make sure you backup all firmware. Extract the keys from both drives and flash both drive with the methods and programs for that specific drive.

If buying a new 360 is too expensive, why not buy a used one OR get one off ebay with a 3rlod and fix it yourself. Since the warranty would probably be voided anyway, you should have no qualms about cracking the case and making the proper mods (not FW) to make it work again. Then there ya go, one box for mods and backups and one for live. That's what I am in the process of doing now. fixed my out of warranty box and will use it for a FW mod, bought a used console still under warranty for cheap to play my live games on.

If you use ANY modded FW, M$ will ban you eventually.

How'd you get banned if Live isn't even in your country yet, if I may ask?

It's easy. In Poland you cant get Live Cards just like that in first better shop. Most of them are from Germany or UK. You just need to register your account in UK instead of Poland. Give fake address and there you go. If you call Polish Xbox Service and stay that You cant connect etc. They just say it's illegal and they can't help.
