Dont use that connector that had P10 written on it, Use the white one with the 4 big pins and plug it into the far right connection on the hard drive (looking from the angle that you took the picture with that has the Red square around some pins)
And for the big slot you use a IDE cable |

because my PC wont realise my xbox HDD is connected i put it back into my xbox.
when i tured it on i got 07 instead of 05. Service Error 07 Info: Harddisk timeout. Solution: Check the IDE Connection/Cable and check the Power Supply. the power and IDE cable are in all the way and everything. does my xbox HDD not work anymore or something? |

Hi
By the looks of things your HDD is screwed, when you plugged i think p6 into you HDD i am sure you cooked it for sure, You connected a series of 5V and 12V into the DATA signals of you HDD which in turn most definetly fried it. I think you need a modchid to 1 sort out the problem of did you cook your HDD or not and; 2 (if 1 means you cooked you HDD) To reinstall another HDD Hope this Helps. Also on your motherboard i would think you have a spare female IDE socket in whioch you can connect another IDE cable and run your possibly fired XBOX HDD on. Dan |
