i agree - funny not to see HALO up there...

that Segway launch started a very very long time ago with these mystical rumors about a new product's patent that would "literally change the way people travel in cities."

I love these quotes from an article about the Segway:

of course I also live about 40 miles out from DeKa headquarters where they were originally designed

As for the consoles in that list... sorry but the PS2 way WAY more hyped up than the 360 or PS3 combined.

Does anyone remember the worry about terrorists getting PS2 to use a supercomputers for calculating missile trajectories? I'm sorry but not amount of hype tops that

The list is about Technology Product Launch Hype. Things like a Tickle me Elmo doll don't really fall into that category, nor do unreleased/unlaunched products like the Phantom console or Duke Nuken. There is simply not alot of launch hype for things that were never actually launched. Also, the newsstory about PS2 and Irag was several weeks after it's launch so by then any launch "hype" was relatively gone.

I'm sure games like Halo, GoW, or doom might have made it somewhere on the list... if the list was longer then 10.

I agree with the Furbys; I remember back in the day when people were sellin em here for over $150 because everywhere else was sold out and people who managed to get their hands on some were price gouging

This definately should've been included in the list
