Sixaxis to Get Rumble This September?
Posted by XanTium | 12-7-2007 13:00 EST

From next-gen.biz:
[QUOTE]
Rumble maker Immersion has announced it has entered into a partnership with gaming peripheral manufacturer Katana Game Accessories, which "will begin distributing peripherals for Sony PlayStation products in North America" in September bearing the TouchSense logo.

It has been widely reported that the new TouchSense technology will be utilized to create a new, rumble-enabled, PS3 Sixaxis controller.

Ooh, i can't wait for a SIXAXIS controller with rumble, it'll add some much needed weight. I drop mine all the time, my hands just doesn't realize that they're holding something sometimes. I hope they keep the name as SIXAXIS though, i really liked the commercials with the letters reversing to spell the same thing, quite cool.

Considering that this does not seem to be an official Sony controller I don't see how they would be able to used the SIXAXIS name.

I was talking about the last line in the article. They said that it's been reported that the new "TouchSense" technology would be used to create a new "SIXAXIS" rumble controller. I was just thinking that with the new/old rumble technology reintegrated into the controller that they might want to rename it but, I I'd like the name to stay SIXAXIS.

No, but you may be in the minority. Personally, I like it.
