E3: Peter Moore vs. Rock Band: The Rematch!
Posted by XanTium | July 12 13:42 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From teamxbox.com:
[QUOTE]
After Microsoft's E3 press conference ended on Tuesday night, the gaming world was abuzz. Everyone was talking about EA's Rock Band, specifically the cringe-worthy performance turned in by Peter Moore, Microsoft's Vice President of Interactive Entertainment Business.
While we've got to admit that Moore proved he's got some, er, "cojones grande" just by strapping on that plastic guitar and cranking it up to 11 during his performance of The Hives' "Main Offender" with the folks from developer Harmonix, his skills just weren't up to par. Not only did he miss a bunch of notes, he committed the ultimate "party foul" by inadvertantly hitting the start button not once but twice.

That's why it was a bit surprising to see him climb onto the stage at The Troubador, the famed rock club in West Hollywood. Before we knew it, Moore was up on stage for Round Two.
Although he missed a few early notes, he quickly got into the proverbial groove, hitting a number of notes in a row and rocking out harder than any Microsoft executive before him. While everyone wondered whether Moore had spent the entire evening practicing or had just had a bad performance the night before, we all agreed that he had redeemed himself.

I watched it was funny, it's on gamespot if you watch the whole stream.

I wonder how much all the rockband stuff is going to cost, even guitar hero 2 was £50 for PS2.

Yes.

Thats just funny. Party foul would be a good word for it, ruins the intimacy between the gamer and the game. On the GH2 guitar (xplorer), i dont see how it would be possible to button mash and somehow hit the start button...its a fair way away, and very small too. Obviously this guitar is closer. And im guessing the gh2 guitar wont work on rock band? Cos that sucks. The game is gonna be so expensive. One guitar will probably be AU$80 alone, let alone a microphone (maybe cheaper) and a drum kit. I play drums, so would get them for sure. Anyone know what the kit will be like or have a pic?

I reckon the game aint gonna be so great, but if it is, then....cool.
