Universal feeling pressure to support Blu-ray
Posted by XanTium | 16-7-2007 20:24 EST

From hdtvuk.tv:
[QUOTE]
According to Variety Magazine, Universal Home Entertainment is facing increasing pressure to release titles on the Blu-ray high definition disc format.

Though Universal remains the only studio supporting HD DVD exclusively, Envisioneering Group guru Richard Doherty believes that "there is a lot of persuading going on right now" from Blu-ray supporters.

I quite honestly don't give a damn which one wins. I just want it to get over quickly so I can buy my high def player without running the risk of it coming obsolete.

I think with all the studio support and walmart support it is safe to assume Blu-Ray will be the winner.

If Universal caves the war would officially be over. Like Ninja Sniper X, I really don't care too much who wins. I just want to format war to be finished.
