Moore: Xbox 360 Warranty Unrelated to Move
Posted by XanTium | July 18 12:33 EST | News Category: Xbox360
From gamesindustry.biz:
Peter Moore has said there is no connection between his departure from Microsoft and the recent announcement that the company is to spend USD 1 billion on Xbox 360 repairs.
Speaking in a podcast hosted by Microsoft's Larry Hryb - otherwise known as Major Nelson - Moore said his decision to resign is "completely and utterly unrelated to anything that's gone on within the business... It's purely about my family". "This agreement between myself and EA was signed about five weeks ago, way before any of the final work that was done on the warranty," he continued. "It was completely unrelated."
i was thinking the same thing, EA seems to be pretty big on charging for EVERYTHING on the marketplace (referring specifically to the cases where they unlock data on the disc). i just hope this policy is someone else at EA and not this guy.

Yeah, sure. The plans for the extended warranty weren't finished 5 weeks ago.
