Thanks for the time and effor and all, but honestly, I think auto-flashers shouldn't be used. For one, they only work in certain circumstances (Like a fresh unmoddified drive or certain versions flashed).

I'll stick to good old mtkflash R /sata backup.bin mtkflash W /sata ix12.bin.

any reason why Avast! antivirus is flagging intro.exe as a trojan? "Win32:PressEnter [Trj]"

I'm slightly confused here...

I've got a ms-28 spoofed as an Hitachi 78 running 1.2.

I've taken a look at the backup hacked.bin file off the usb drive in toolbox 4 and it doesn't seem able to read it properly.

I get a checksum of zero's.
A correct Rom version (Hitachi 78) but the firmware is all meaningless symbols
The correct first part of the key then the rest is all zero's.

It's been working as it should, but I'm just wondering why it's like that.

Now I've just updated to 1.2 rev c and I get exactly the same.

All my backups work and the quiet mode is working too. Just wondering what's going on.

samtool used in IPrep and the iXtreme package is not doing its spoofing exactly like FWtoolbox is doing it.

That is why, when you load your Samtool spoofed firmware in toolbox, it is in fact seen as a V78 fw and therefore it looks for the info according to the structure of a V78 not a MS28.

If all is working fine, then do not worry, just a question of different approach to spoofing.

Also just for clarification...

When reflashing using iprep what actually happens to the backed up file?

Does it get used as part of the hacked file flashed to the drive?

Or does it use the orginal Hitachi Bin with the key in to create the Hacked file?

I was just wondering...

The KEY is taken from the back-up and placed in the new hacked file, that is all.

This isn't an 'Auto-Flasher', It makes the USB Disk for you thats all, you are free to use the MKTFlash commands if you like without using the Bat Files.

It's a false positive

I posted about it here: https://www.x-projects.org/news.php?item.2.2

Just to note Only Avast picks up on this.
My Dev machine has kaspersky installed, as do all my PC's.

Seriously cheers for this...

For people new to the scene, this makes things a lot easier.

It's definitely less daunting doing it this way and learning the ropes later.
