An internal source, who wants to remain anonymous for obvious reasons but already gave us correct information in the past, contacted us to say we should expect a price drop for the Xbox360 on August 08th.
We didn't receive details on how much it's gonna drop, but if true I guess we'll know soon.

that would be absolutely great - perfect timing for me to pick up an extra 360 just before Halo3 comes out...can't afford mine to break down and lose any playing time on H3...

Xantium obviously trusts him, and i've learnt to trust xantium in the past.

I wonder if this is worldwide or just the states? And how much? But i guess we will see. Here in Aus, the premium is $650, im thinking/hoping it comes to maybe $500, core could be $350. Wow, thats quite low.

Don't feel bad, I bought a new one yesterday, but I couldn't wait for rumor verifications of the price drop before I could get my gaming fix back.

flashfreak in Australia the Pro has all ready dropped somewhat jbhi have been selling Pro's for $537 this last week

Ive seen other stores selling them for 599 with forza2

even one that had them at 499 FOR A PRO!!

this has been on and off for the last few months

Im hanging out for an elite when they come out here in OZ then i can give my gf my pro smile.gif

I doubt it, Gamestop sucks. The only reason I went there was because they were the only store with a core system left. When I asked if they have a 30 day warranty in case this 360 RRoDs while my other 360 is out for repair, they said Microsoft has to fix it, they won't take it once it is opened. <----- That has to be illegal to an extent. So if I opened it yesterday and it didn't work they wouldn't replace it? BS. I hate that store.

Well, I just got my 2nd one on 7/13. I don't think Wal-Mart would honor a price difference though. I think that's just a Best Buy thing.
