I intend to buy a chipped Xbox mainly to watch divx films. My question is this: can the Xbox read a CDRW that i have copied my film onto on my PC. I have seen that the games need a special ISO to be created and burned for them to work. Do I need to do the same with my films or can they be read as normal?

Xbox will read it fine from RW provided 1) the media is of good quality and 2) the burn is good.
I have had great success with my first gen (3944) box reading Verbatim and $ony RW media. I burn at no more than 4x but did have successful reads of a disk I once burned at 16x (forgot to change settings) but haven't tried it since. |
