Check if your Xbox360 has the new GPU HeatSink without Opening Case

From kotaku.com: [QUOTE] First, get a camera. Then put your camera on top of an overturned 360. Then take a picture. If you can see your DVD drive, you're fresh outta luck. If you can't see it, you've got a new heatsink in there and your luck reserves are in good shape.

simple enough check and no warranty violation.
as many have said in other threads - most believe that this new heatsink setup still does not improve your chances of hitting the ROD...i am not sure but it is at least a decent band-aid until the Falcon boxes are released...

I just used a FlashLight to see if I had the new GPU heatsink. All you have to do is shine it in the side that does not have the Xbox 360 Hard Drive connection and you can clearly see if it has the New GPU or NOT.

just to correct things up, the GPU is still the same we are looking for New extended Heatinks thats all. The boxes still use the same lame frying innards.

Sorry I said that WAY WRONG. With the FlashLight you can see the new extended GPU Heatsink. That is what I meant, not saying anything about the new GPU.
