I wasn't sure if this is a hardware or software question but I am trying to use ponyprog on a linux laptop with no 9 pin com, Any help would be great blink.gif huh.gif

Hi,

look for a USB to COM port adapter. There are 2 commonly used chipsets in these devices FTDI and prolific.

I don't know how well they are supported in Linux. In Windows, they appear as regular comports. I think ponyprog should be able to work with them. It will work a bit slower than a regular comport. For a 256byte device, it wan't make that much difference.
