This is sad news indeed. I don't trust those canadians, sharing such a large border. I bet on a quiet night you can hear them sharpening their Iceskates to steal our cheese. We must combat this threat with economic warefare.
Make them PAY for making the hockey season way too long

Well, a price drop is nice but, why would you bother getting a console that doesn't have the 110 percent support behind it, especially when it comes to the consoles accessories like the damn power supply for crying out loud. I myself like many people out there, are buying dead xbox 360 consoles from liquidators for a 100 bucks or less, that have the 3RRLOD problem and sending them in for repair under the new 3 year extended warranty. I'm sorry to everyone out there in the community and maybe I should have started my own thread about this, but right now I am so royally pissed that I just have to post to get my frustrations out. about two weeks ago I got my 360 back from repairs, at the time I didn't have much accessories except for the wireless controller, so I order an energizer psu and HD av cables, shortly after a got the items I ordered and everything was fine until I decide to get a game. This past friday I end up buying a copy of gears of war( my favorite game) and a 64 megabyte memory card. I get home and start playing, when the game goes to the menu screen everything is fine until I get the 3 red lights and it shuts down, I turn it on again and the same thing happen, exactly at the same place as before. it happen three times at the same place and on the fourth time it shut off and kill the atx power supply that came with the psu adaptor. Now I have a suppose working 360 with a game inside and and no power supply to run it. I bough the psu energizer because it was cheap and unlike the power supply sold on ebay, it didn't cost 80-90 dollars. So I go back to eb games in my own ignorance thinking that I would be able to purchase a power supply be it new or used, only to find out that MS doesn't sell the power supply publicly through the retailers. I then go to other stores and I find the same thing cause I didn't believe it at first. Now I'm left with either going directly to MS for the power supply or taking my chance on the net. so I ended up calling MS customer support to find out how much it would cost, I get told that it would cost me 79.99 american which to be frank I don't mind paying but I have to have a credit card in order to buy the power supply, and I'm just screwed again for not having a credit, first because it isn't sold to the public through retail. I ended up spending an hour and a half just trying to get a supporvisor to see what can be done and nothing. Now I got a working console and no power supply to run it. I'm sorry everyone, but i am so frustrated right and am looking for contact info for MS main office so I can send my concerns about this because to be frank this is unacceptable especially when a company who designs a product without an internal power supply and doesn't care to sell the power supply to the public through retail store, so they can charge what they went and take the customer hostage. I can not begin to imagine what a person who has forked out 300-500 dollars on a new console and has the power brick for some reason die out on them after the first year feels, especially when they have been playing for months and suddenly when they find out that the power supply isn't sold in stores, they feel left out in cold. To the administrators of xbox-scene I would like to ask if you could please have a poll on this matter for the benefit of the community, because this is an out rage. How come is it that, I can go to the games store and buy a controller, memory, av cables and harddrive and not a power supply? I strongly believe that if you hold poll on this matter that everyone well agree and maybe MS well paid attention to this and start offering the power supply in stores. The one painful thing I have learn this week regarding video game consoles is that before you buy a console, you have to be 100 percent sure that the company well be 110 percent behind their console on every level. They maybe serious about the hardware stability currently working on their revision right now, but as far as the accessories go, They don't care much and they show it by not selling the power supply to the public through retail, what are they afraid of? what, that the price will eventually drop to something reasonable or is it that they well lose controller over being able to charge what they like for it, at the same time taking their consumers hostage by doing this. Let me make this very clear to everyone out there, I bough a 360 because of the games! at the moment it's the only console with a good library of games with a couple of good ones coming out this month all throughout the holidays. If I had known that MS didn't sell the power supply in stores, I would not have gotten a 360, simple because MS didn 't sell the power brick and that alone doesn't emspare confidence on the consumer. I'm a first time xbox 360 owner and I live in Canada, I don't know if MS sells the power supply to retailers in the states or not.

It is not unusual to only sell the power supply through the company... It is not an accessory!! It is a part!
When you buy the system through legitimate channels you get a power supply. If it dies MS will probably send a replacement. (Although it probably one of the more robust parts of the system)
If a switch in my clothes dryer goes bad... I can't just walk into a store and buy it. I have to call the company and get from them.
So your wall of text and your rant is equally silly....
