Xbox360 Premium-HDMI Motherboard Pics - No Falcon or 65nm
Posted by XanTium | August 11 11:21 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Over at the neogaf.com forum they opened one of those new Premium 360s with a HDMI port. As was already widely expected over the last few days, these consoles still don't have the new Falcon motherboard with 65nm chips, but they have the Zephyr motherboard with 90nm chips as found in the Elite. On a positive note, this Premium-HDMI 360 has the new and improved GPU heatsink. The DVD-ROM drive they found inside was the new BenQ drive - but the brand of DVD-ROM Microsoft uses is not bound to a specific SKU or motherboard, so there's certainly no guarantee all Premium-HDMI xboxes will have this drive.

Right we all saw the attack on XS in the bottom of the guys post.
We all know the accusations on this and the picture source for which credit was given.
We are not entering into some childish slanging match with the other site.
Let's please keep this sensible.

I cant imagine us seeing 65nm this year sleep.gif
At least HDMI is there for now and the heat sink add on. Does anyone think if they send in their Premium X360 for repairs now, they will get one with HDMI and the new heat sink now??

As long as the new heatsinks SOLVE the problem, then who cares about the chip. That said, with the history these things have had assuming anything is a stretch.

what do people expect from the 65nm.

1, my xbox360 is faster online than yours?.

2, my xbox360 plays games faster than yours?.

3, my xbox360 plays films faster than yours?.

well it does not make a difference two any of the above as there is a timecode stamp for all of the above
to correct the speed.

unlike in a faster P.C.

Dumb question. So do the newer Elites have a 65 nm CPU or GPU, or are the newer Elites still 90 nm (CPU and GPU)?

How about my xbox360 runs cooler than yours? I think that's why everyone wants to get a 65nm version, lesser chance of RRoD.

Some of us are so sick of hearing about a problem so easily solved by a simple return that we like to banish it from our minds.

Seeing as that would sell a whole freakin lot of Elites... and drop an extra 100 dollars extra for each of those sales into Microsofts hands.. I think its a pretty smart question.
